Corinthians 12:12-14 (NIV)

Unity and Diversity in the Body
12  Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with
Christ. 13  For we were all baptized by [a] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or
Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14  Even so the body is not
made up of one part but of many.

To show the love of Christ…

The Agape House provides basic needs to build relationships with the homeless and underserved, helping us learn and determine how we can help them through our various ministries or direct them to best equipped resources. This is accomplished in a judgment free zone and a safe haven for any and all people in need.

The Agape House functions on grants,
donations and is maintained entirely by volunteers.

In the heart of Bristol, The Agape House serves as a beacon of hope and assistance for those in need, propelled by Christian values and community collaboration. If you’re looking to make a meaningful impact in your community, here’s how you can get involved with The Agape House and contribute to their mission. Volunteer Your Time: The Agape House relies heavily on volunteers for its various programs. Whether you can spare a few hours weekly or monthly, your time can make a significant difference. Volunteers are needed to assist in the day center, with clothing and food donations, daily cleaning and support life skills training such as resume building, basic computer skills, job search and interviewing skills. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back directly and see the impact of your efforts on individuals and families. Donate Essentials: The Agape House is always in need of material donations. Consider donating non-perishable food items, clothing and household essentials. These donations ensure that the most vulnerable populations have access to basic needs, fostering a safer and more nurturing environment. Offer Professional Skills: If you have specific skills or professional expertise, consider offering your services pro bono. The organization benefits from a variety of skills, from educational tutoring and career coaching to legal advice and healthcare services. By providing your expertise, you help empower individuals to build better futures for themselves and their families. Participate in Fundraisers: The Agape House organizes and benefits from various fundraising events throughout the year. Participating or even organizing a fundraising event is a fantastic way to support the organization financially. Funds raised help sustain and expand the services offered, allowing The Agape House to reach and support more people. Become an Advocate: Advocacy is a powerful way to support The Agape House. Spread the word about their mission and impact through social media, community groups, and personal networks. Raising awareness can lead to more volunteers, more donations, and a larger impact on the community. Pray for Their Mission: If you’re spiritually inclined, keeping The Agape House and its beneficiaries in your prayers can also be a form of support. Prayers for the wellbeing of the staff, volunteers, and the people they help can uplift and strengthen the community spirit. Engaging with The Agape House is not just about giving but also about growing and learning through the act of serving others. It’s an opportunity to meet new people, build relationships, and experience the joy that comes from helping those in need. Every little bit helps, and each person’s contribution adds up to significant change. Join The Agape House in their mission to bring compassion and practical help to those in need in Bristol. Together, we can make a difference—one act of kindness at a time.
